Buttons comes in a lot of different shapes, sizes and materials. Normal material for buttons is polyester, metal or natural materials, such as pearl, coconut ECT.

Buttonholes are often made at machine. You will find the shirt button hole – this is straight, the buttonhole for jacket, coat, and jeans are the eyelet buttonhole. This is done at machine as well, but can be done by hand as well. Another buttonhole is the bound buttonhole. This is often done by hand but you can see it done you machine as well.

TIP: If you can’t get the right beige (light or dark) colour – by a white polyester button. Make a strong cup of tea or coffee – put in a large spoon salt – cook it all together and put your buttons in, to colour your buttons. You can just take it up to see the color – if it’s not good enough – continue until you are satisfied. NB. The button do not loose colour when washing, because of the salt.
